I truly loathe the late spring cold.
I am suffering right now.
My nose is so stuffed up.
Why???
The children...the children brought these horrible germs into our home.
I thought I was done until fall.
Here is to hoping the Benadryl knocks it out, so I can feel better tomorrow.
simpler and more confused
crying does not make me move any faster

countdown to summer
I know it seems silly to be so anxious for summer to begin, but I am.
In less than 25 school days, I will not have to wake up too early just to make lunch.
There will not be the concern on who will be taking who to school and what is the after school plan.
I just cannot wait.
However, I know that within a matter of days our lovely children will be driving me crazy.
I will be wishing it was time for school to begin again.
Gotta love the vicious cycle.

Lemons = Spring!
The first time I tried this cake I did not follow the instructions correctly.
BUT...it still received great reviews.
I decided to try it again for Easter brunch, and I followed the directions exactly this time.
What a difference that made!
Luckily, the store a few meyer lemons left.
Can you see the zest???
It is in the cake and streusel.
So yummy!!!
Take a second look....

so proud
Our wonderful kitty man, Jorge Miguel, came in second place in a photo contest.
I am such a proud kitty mama!
Here is the winning picture:

is it okay?
How bad would it be for me to leave little notes on all the doors of the neighbors that have STILL not taken down their Christmas decor??
The note would say:
Dear Neighbor,
Now that winter is over, it is time to put away the Christmas lights, fake trees, wreaths, and/or garland. I know the holidays are great, but I do not need to be reminded of that each day I drive through the neighborhood.
Thank you.
I know, totally inappropriate, but c'mon folks, there are less than 2 weeks until Easter.

I am done
It has been quite the week.
Our credit card number was stolen, and some lame-ass charged over $1500 on it.
What a hassle.
The boy cut his lip last night, and it bled so much for the tiny cut it was.
I was so relieved we did not have to go to the ER last night.
And the icing on the cake is the wonderful note that I have a yeast infection.
It is getting treated, but what a pain!
There are a million and a half things to get done, but they did not this week.
I have better hopes for next week.
Maybe daylight savings is the switch I need.
Done.

kettlebell
I highly recommend the kettle bell.
That is a work out that will kick your booty.
I did the work out on Sunday, and I am feeling it today.
It has been about 6+ weeks, and I will not take that much time off of the kettle bell again.
I love the feeling of all the sore muscles that I have not felt in a while.
That is the kind of pain that feels good.
I want more of that in my life.

getting back
Wow!
It has been a month since I was last here.
Oops!
Life has just been busy.
Too busy.
I am ready for a vacation from this whirl wind.
I wish I had a million amazing stories to tell right now, but I do not.
My husband built me a desk out of a door for our anniversary.
It is big!!
I found the idea in a craft book, and he made it happen.
The kids are driving me crazy.
Both for different reasons.
The 12 year old is moody and really not that fun to be around most of the time.
The 5 year old talks non-stop about mostly nothing real, but is usually pleasant and entertaining to be around.
I loathe the school week schedule, but the weekends are full of arguing and grumpy kids which equal crabby mom.
There are days when it is too much, but when I reflect on my moments, I know life is pretty darn awesome for what it is.
